I’m looking back over some of my old photos, preparing prints to put on my walls. I came across one of my favourite photos – a pianist who plays next to the lake in Queenstown, New Zealand.
I took the photo of the raconteur while traveling by myself around the South Island. He wheeled his olde timey piano and set it next to a wall holding back the lake water. He shuffled open an equally olde timey suitcase on the ground with CDs for sale.
He was unassuming, unpretentious, and unspectacular …. that is until his fingers hit the ivory. Embedded content: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cCC2TRDZIIg
